The exclusive outdoor terrace of the Kimpton Journeyman was the site of a recent major IoT cocktail reception hosted by ThoughtFocus for local Milwaukee manufacturing leaders. ThoughtFocus’ Manufacturing team, led by VP of Manufacturing, Prashanth Sharma, and other company executives were on hand to share the success story with KOHLER, a leading global manufacturer of kitchen and bath fixtures.
ThoughtFocus and KOHLER formed a strategic partnership a few years ago to deliver KOHLER Konnect, a new line of smart kitchen and bath products which offers the customer an enhanced experience through the use of IoT. KOHLER Konnect products are supplied worldwide and have given KOHLER a competitive edge in the market.
In a panel session, KOHLER’S Head of Engineering for Kitchen and Bath Americas, Marwan Estiban, attributed the successful partnership to the experience and accessibility of ThoughtFocus’ talent. He also commented on ThoughtFocus’ seamless fit with the KOHLER team and its other vendors. ThoughtFocus managed engineering work that enabled Marwan to repurpose his team in developing initial proofs of concept and prototype designs.
ThoughtFocus also played a role in transforming KOHLER’s design processes by supporting DevOps, a software design approach that better integrates development and IT operations to accelerate outcomes.
Prashanth Sharma emphasized the ownership of the project objectives by his team as integral to its success. Sharma was featured in a Milwaukee Business Journal interview in which he outlined plans for ThoughtFocus’ Milwaukee headquarters to increase its standing as an IoT hub by expanding its innovation talent resources.
Among the ThoughtFocus team present were Executive VP, Rajiv Goyal, and VP Strategy and Solutions, Mike Galbraith and Lula Miller-Mays, Senior Sales Manager, Manufacturing. They welcomed guests from Briggs & Stratton, Aprilaire, Bradley Corporation, Regal Beloit, and several others.

ThoughtFocus is a privately held company, headquartered in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. We lead transformation in business with technology and insights to add value in four major sectors, aerospace and defense, education, finance, and manufacturing. We’re unlike the large consulting firms whose digital transformation business model is disjointed into separate advisory and execution firms that may not reflect the reality of the client’s needs. ThoughtFocus is a smaller company with an integrated approach, which has led to successful outcomes. The organization has grown rapidly since its inception and is now a mid-sized company, part of the Blackstone portfolio. The founders hold executive positions within the organization and are actively involved with clients and projects. See more at www.thoughtfocus.com.
